As I was driving to my favorite forest in Pennsylvania, it looked like the weather was NOT going to cooperate with us. The fog was so thick as I was driving there and inside I was weary that we would just be turning back around. But Liane and Larry were game to explore Nolde Forest with me despite the weather that looked like impending doom. We took a rather long hike up to my favorite spot in Nolde, this magical corridor of evergreen trees that has become such a special place to me. It really is a hidden gem and I feel like I transport into the pacific northwest whenever I get there.
This time though? It was unlike I’ve ever seen it. The fog!!! It was like the forest knew I was going to be there and opened up a spot within the corridor that would be free from the dense layer of fog. You can see it in the background of nearly every photo from this session. Oh I was so stinking happy. I’m so thankful that Liane and Larry were willing to trudge up the mountain with me, WITH their dog, and do all the crazy things I asked them to do. Be like Liane and Larry. You won’t regret it!
Note to my couples looking for engagement session locations - this is not a location for heels and cute sundresses. There is a HIKE to get here - it’s long(ish) and you just keep walking vertically until you get there. This location is perfect for outdoor-loving, adventurous types who don’t mind getting their clothes dirty, getting a little sweaty on the way up, and getting their workout for the day in. BUT! Don’t let that deter you. I love this space and jump at the chance to use it.
Anyways, scroll through to see some of my favorites from their engagement session!
